Gold Line Changes
Amid grumblings by some commuters, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has returned two of six morning Metro Gold Line express trains to regular service. "Ridership was low on those two runs," explained MTA spokesman Rick Jager. In addition, the four remaining morning express trains have begun stopping at Old Town Pasadena's Memorial Park Station, which express service had skipped since it began in early February. The morning service had omitted several stations along the Gold Line route, at a touted savings of five minutes, but commuters living near those stations complained. Schedules and stops for the six evening express trains remain unchanged and can be viewed at mta.net.
