CALLED TO SERVE tells the story of the courageous Japanese American women who served in the United States Military during World War II. As nurses, translators, medical technicians, clerks, and more, these women joined the military from concentration camps, Hawai'i, and throughout the United States to prove their loyalty to their nation.  Learn their story and how it relates to issues faced by women in the military today.
