DTLA - Last year the Onni Group acquired the 12-story Western Pacific Building. Now work has begun to turn the structure at 1023 S. Broadway into a creative office hub.
Construction crews are adding new elevators and HVAC systems, and are making seismic improvements, according to Andrew Tashjian, managing director of Cushman and Wakefield, which is handling the office leasing. The H-shaped edifice has 250,000 square feet of office space. Amenities will include lounges, a conference center and a fitness center. The Western Pacific Building opened in 1925 as an office structure but has been vacant in recent years. Onni expects to finish the work next summer, according to Tashjian.
