The Angels Flight Railway Foundation last week announced it will produce a Bunker Hill history brochure and reproductions of paintings of Bunker Hill by Leo Politi, the late artist, author and illustrator.
The artwork will be on display on a wall adjacent to the track structure. The Foundation also announced a partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, which will allow it to receive donations through its website at angelsflight.org. The announcements came during a lunch for donors on Thursday, April 15. Officials also said that since the railway’s reopening in March, following a nine-year closure, more than 59,000 passenger trips have been taken.
