FIGat7th Getting Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works

Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works are the latest businesses to sign leases at the FIGat7th shopping center. Both stores will open next spring.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — If anyone seeking lingerie or bath products had been going outside of Downtown Los Angeles to do their shopping, they won’t have to for much longer.

Brookfield Properties, which owns the FIGat7th shopping center, announced this week that it has inked deals to bring a Victoria’s Secret and a Bath & Body Works to the outdoor mall at Seventh and Figueroa streets. Both are owned by Limited Brands.

Victoria’s Secret will occupy 8,400 square feet of space. In addition to selling its lingerie, pajamas and other goods, a portion of the store will hold a freestanding PINK shop, targeting women in college.

Bath & Body Works, which sells soaps, bath products and more, will fill a 2,570-square-foot space. Both Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works will open in early spring 2014.

Edward Hogan, national director of retail leasing for Brookfield Office Properties, said the leases continue the effort to provide a diverse array of shopping and eating opportunities in the mall, which underwent a $40 million renovation before reopening last year.

“We strategically curated a unique collection of retailers and culinary operators at FIGat7th that fulfill the desires and needs of the downtown LA resident and workforces populations,” he said in a prepared statement.

The businesses will join other current or upcoming FIGat7th tenants including City Target, Sport Chalet, H&M and Zara.
