Clayton’s Public House, the latest endeavor from food and drink entrepreneurs Tony Gower and Elizabeth Peterson-Gower has officially staked claim to an opening date.
One of the more hotly anticipated summer openings, the Victorian-themed pub is reportedly barreling toward a Tuesday, June 12 opening date according to a recent Facebook post from the company.
Rumblings that the location would open in January, or March, or April were quickly dashed but now it seems like June is the definitive month for Downtowners to try out the new location. Clayton's is the spiritual successor to Royal Clayton's Pub, an Arts District favorite that closed in 2010 after a four-year run.
Joining Guisados, Blu Jam Cafe and soon-to-be opened Pizza Lucca at the ever-popular Spring Arcade Building; the location will offer 32 craft beers on tap, sourced from Los Angeles and California breweries and gastropub staples.
Clayton's will be open for business 11 a.m.- midnight daily, and until 2 a.m. on Thursday-Saturday.
