On May 28, 1957, the National League team owners voted unanimously to allow the then-Brooklyn Dodgers to move west and become the Los Angeles Dodgers.
In honor of the date, Philippe the Original, which frequently packs fans in before Dodger games, is helping celebrate the anniversary alongside players Justin Turner and Kike Hernandez.
From noon-1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, fans can meet the two ballplayers, and the restaurant will sell its signature French dip sandwich for $1.57 until 7 p.m.
The day will also hold live music from DJ Runway and opportunities to customize your Dodger gear.
The event is organized by Adidas. Philippe’s is at 1001 N. Alameda St.
